"Room for Growth and Better Investment"
This service has a lot of promise, but it’s riddled with problems like glitches, errors, Bluetooth connectivity with vehicles, subpar customer support, payment troubles, and wrong charges. I’ve made numerous attempts to sort these out, but nothing ever seems to get sorted. I've been using Karshare for almost two years now, and I haven't noticed any progress.

I drove just fine and didn’t speed at all, at least according to Waze. The score dropped to 30 at 8 PM while I was on the highway with cruise control for the last 20 minutes. I still drove as smoothly as possible and managed to reach 62 by the end of my trip. Please check this out because now I can’t rent any car due to my low score.

This app is super easy to navigate with clear guidance. It keeps you posted on when to bring the car back and its location. The Bluetooth connection works like a charm. Plus, getting your deposit back happens in no time.

"A hefty £7491 bill for a busted headlight"
My situation is pretty overwhelming and stressful, and I’m at a loss for what to do. I had a minor accident while going less than 5 mph because of icy roads, and my car slid into a parked vehicle. The main damage was to the driver’s side headlight and wing. I tried reaching out for assistance but had no luck with that. So, I took matters into my own hands and replaced the wing and front bumper, even got it repainted—it was looking sharp! The only thing left to fix was the headlight, but despite my efforts, I hit a wall. The owner had verbally agreed I could keep the car longer and would check with Kar Share about the situation. But then, thinking I was uninsured, I left the car at a friend's place. The next day, I found out the car was gone. Apparently, Kar Share had picked it up without telling me. I was left in the dark for three weeks. Then, I got an email saying I breached my contract for smoking in the car, which I didn’t do, and for keeping it past the return date, which was being sorted out with the owner. They claimed I wasn’t in the driver’s seat at all times, even though my phone was the only one logged into the app. I thought only one account could be used. Then came the bill for damages, which totaled £7491, covering the headlight, front bumper, offside wing, and four alloys. This is where it gets ridiculous—when I picked up the car, those four alloys were already damaged! I took pictures of every single one and uploaded them to the app. Yet, here I am, being asked to pay up within a week. This is for a 2016 W4 series BMW; you could probably snag one secondhand for that amount! If my contract hadn’t been voided, I would’ve only had to pay the minimum excess. One big question I have is about my license. When I signed up for this rental, the app said you can’t rent if you have over 3 points. I thought I only had 3, but two weeks before, I got hit with 6 more points, bringing my total to 9. Despite this, Kar Share still approved my license, unlike other platforms that would’ve rejected my application. Shouldn’t Kar Share be responsible for not doing proper checks?

If you're renting out your car, take note. Should any damage occur, Karshare won't compensate you, even with solid proof.

"Deposit Issues with This Company"
This company takes a £250 deposit and holds it for a week. I switched my payment method, but they still withdrew the deposit from my current account without any heads-up or chance to talk it over. I won’t be using their services again. EDIT: Even after I switched to a credit card, they STILL took the deposit from my current account without reaching out to me. I didn’t 'misunderstand' or overlook anything. Karshare, on the flip side...
